The story has drawn me in, and it is convincing. And yeah, I think I'd like to go out with the Dobrev plague -- I'm not the one for post-apocalyptic adventures... or farming, for that matter.

I was using the premise of Stephen Kings the stand, for this and instead of the supernatural mumbo jumbo I developed it to a world in which women gained the ultimate power. Instead of might makes right, the scarcity of a resource defines its value.
There might be literally hundreds of communities with other structures, but they are too far away from Salvation to habe any impact on it.
