The Dining Hall is the perfect place to take a break from your studies. Meet your fellow students or colleagues to chat about anything else the world has to offer. For the most part, any interest you want to share is fair game—just steer clear of contemporary politics.
In this thread, I want to create a list with links to author's profiles on other sites. If you're an author yourself, please post links to where readers can find you and I'll add the information to this first post.
In general, I think I've seen authors of our community use three other plattforms to post their stories. But please let me know if I'm missing any.
This is something I didn't want to ever have to do, but the time has come to admit my limitations and my mistakes. The forum is going to close in November. Here's the main reasons why:
1) While writing is a tool I use to help with my mental health, it is not the only tool I use. At this point keeping the forum alive for the sake of my mental health will end up causing more problems than relieving them. I'm also going to teach at a much larger...
Hi all. I meant to include ways of staying in touch in my last announcement post, but forgot about it due to the craziness of real life.
I'm sure at some point down the road someone will try and revive this type of forum. Or maybe some other story websites exist that I or someone else doesn't know about. Either way, the biggest gripe I had about The Black Van shutting down was how the admin team told us then immediately disabled the website to...
I wanted to open this topic for some time now.
I abstained because I didn't want to break the NSFW image rules.
But if I interpret what @Claire and @RapeU it would be ok for topics like this (If not, just say so I will edit this)
Also @LaLia just posted a story as homage to a certain Dofantasy storyline, so I figured it was time.
Dofantasy/Fansadox is a publisher of BDSM and rape themed comics that overlap in many ways with the themes of this...
Some of you may have known christine_daae, I think she also went by a few other handles (something blue eyes , VeiledInnocence I believe). Lovely, brilliant woman. She passed of a heart attack recently.
She hadn't been around for awhile but we had been playing and keeping in touch, hoping to meet and make things more serious. She will be missed.
Choose ONE:
UP → increase the number by 1
DOWN → decrease the number by 1
Goal:
Reach 1,000 to win (UP side)
Reach 0 to win (DOWN side)
You may not post twice in a row. If someone posts before you while you’re typing edit your post to reflect the new number. You cannot change which direction you go until a team wins. Once a team wins a new game starts and you can choose which direction to go on your...
I have a strong feeling @HistBuff will enjoy this topic :)
I have a hobby in genealogy and enjoy some of the things I come across while reading about people from a different time. Sometimes on this day in history can be interesting and good to talk about.
To keep the idea of not focusing on politics, let's avoid anything after the year 1950.
On this day in history in 1936, Britain’s King George V died after his physician injected the mortally...
So what type of strange, interesting, or cursed books or covers have you seen or found?
This is not intended to be an attack, or hate against the writers. This is meant to be just some fun, and looking at strange, interesting, bizarre, or cursed books and covers.
I'll start.
By the way. This is the first book in a series, and this book is wild.
I haven't read this, but I need an adult animated movie adoptation of this.
If you were to imagine (stress IMAGINE) a kind of rapetopia where women lost many of their rights and men could rape with near or total impunity, what kind of a society would you go for? A Handmaid's Tale kind of thing or violent Purge anarchy, or what?
I have written over the years a couple of stories, so I have a fairly solid idea on my output. If a story is getting me excited enough, I put down about 3000 words per writing session. It’s the reason why the parts of my handful of muli-part stories are about that size.
Of late I do notice it gets considerably harder, to go back to a story I have begun and continue it. As there are multiple authors among us, who are frequently writing almost...
This isn't really an image board, but a lot of us have one image we put to the public every time we post. We have avatars, small though they may be. They come to define us as a visual leitmotif of sorts. So how did we get them? Did you just see a cool pic and liked it? That's cool if you did.
My current avatar is exactly that. I found it on some image board almost twenty years ago and grabbed it, before I ever found my first rape fantasy...
Everyone knows them...the many rape scenes in mainstream films. They occur quite often, especially in horror films.
I'd be interested to hear your favorites or the scenes that have stuck in your mind the most. Which were the best? Or the most shocking? Which were arousing? Tell us about them.
We have no thread about the seventh art, with the exception of threads on rape / implied rape scenes and an interesting disquisition on screenwriting by @LtBroccoli .
Let's talk about cinema as a whole. Where do our interests mainly lie -- is it Hollywood, indie/arthouse, European, Chinese, Japanese films? Indian or Nigerian cinema, perhaps? :d Then there are erotica and porn. :hot:
If I were to be stranded on an uninhabited island with just...
Music, my great unrequited love... My attempts at playing piano are best forgotten, especially by the unfortunate listeners.
Nevertheless I love playing music, including when I write -- sometimes it propels me all the way to the ending. Yeah, proper -- oh well, improper experiments of the last hundred or so years too -- classical music mostly. What else could you expect from that snob @Lucius ?...
This original game I cooked up in my brain and posted on RB. It was pretty fun. Essentially, what you do is quote the post of the person above you, edit it, and then reply to the edited version as if it were the original.
I'm going to double post so that I misquote myself and show how it's done because a few people were confused when I originally posted the thread, and I'd like to avoid confusion :)
I thought it would be cool if we could also discuss what tools our artists here use, I have ambition to become able to make some art from time to time, but I am really not that good.
Of course we have the traditional pen and paper, that probably will remain unbeaten for a long time for artists.
Canvas for oil and other types of paint.
Clay for sculpting.
Wood for carving.
I even count carpentry as a kind of artistic expression. Though maybe...
My name is Millie Dee Last-Name (Nope, not going there.). I live in OKC, used to be a PI. Lived on the streets of OKC from a little before my 13th birthday to a few weeks after my 14th. Have an adoptive father and mother, and brother and sister. What I did to survive on the streets was a bit of a horror show. Sometimes, I draw inspiration from that period of my life. I've been raped more than four times. My father is a part-time writer, and I...
Chess has exploded in popularity since the Covid days, and the boom continues. I'm a fair-to-middling player, no more than that -- I'd say I like chess but I don't love it, and Caissa is a jealous mistress. :d There's a certain cultural fascination with chess, everyone in the West used to know Fischer, and now The Queen's Gambit 's protagonist shares the spotlight with King Magnus...
It won't be easy to explain to an extraterrestrial visiting...
As the title says: Health and Fitness.
What do you do (or don't) to stay healthy?
Sport? A special diet? Does your workplace alone do the trick?
Myself i have never been th sporty type. Had somewhat of a belly ever since i was a child and hated sports/PE class in school.
German sport education in my experience is designed in a way that it awards those who are already sporty (like playing in a soccer club) and punish those who are not.
And it...
Here's one I come back to every now and then when I get bored.
You have a dungeon where you can put monsters and traps to protect your gold and/or items. Female adventurers try to come and steal your gold and/or items. They have regular HP and a lust bar. If their HP goes down to 0 they drop gold and leave. If their lust bar gets full they submit to you and you get to fuck them for XP. It's a neat medium/long length game to get into.
What's something that you don't normally like in real life but when it comes to porn it turns you on?
For me this is needles. I can't stand seeing a needle go into my skin or a family member's skin. But when it comes to porn, watching needles go in is hot. Especially if it's the breast.
On this day a year ago, our forum was launched in test mode, with @Claire , @Vela Nanashi , @Mister X , @LaLia and @Shocker present at the conception. They did well. :d And, with the smouldering wrecks of kristensboard.com and ravishU.com in the rearview mirror, the new board went on its bumpy way.
The romance of the ship has been with me for a long time -- my fantasy has long been captured by the ocean liners that ruled the waves a century or so ago. The cruise ships of today are their direct heirs, and I've sampled several, but that's not the same thing -- even if my sailings still pleased me to no end.
Do you like all things ship-related? My experiences are that of a passenger, but perhaps there are those who have sailed on a yacht --...
We can do without the majority of arts at a pinch—but not without this one. Architecture -- along with its offshoots, city planning and the like -- has the power to shape lives in the most direct way imaginable . Okay, perhaps not necessarily that direct, although who can imagine this Clockwork Orange scene without its fittingly brutalist background? :d
Everyone has an opinion about architecture. My love of antiquity manifests itself in being...
First up, some full disclosure. As a man, I don't give much thought to Valentine's day. But as a married man, my wife slave reminded me that I love it and we're doing stuff. So, there goes my dom reputation. :bawl: Still, I'll bet I could coax her into some cuffs later. At least we're checking out a new restaurant we haven't been to before, so that's a plus.
What is a holiday of love to the kink and ravishment crowd? Probably much the same as...
I'm 39 and feel like birthdays are just meh now. Sure I like cake, but I don't feel like doing parties or even telling people it's my birthday anymore.
Poetry is yet another art I utterly fail at -- you can study prosody, the metrical feet etc. all your life and not become a good poet. Or you can pretty much start writing poems in the second language in earnest in your thirties and make it all the way to the Nobel Prize -- I bet Brodsky wouldn't have gone to Stockholm if he remained a Russian-only author.
Oh well, it's not about recognition, even if it's the only rating that counts here, much...
There was a post on RavishU that was a hundred or so questions about your rape fantasies. Those who wanted to fill in the questionnaire did so, and it was a great way to get to know who was closest to oneself in terms of their fantasies. The questions were pretty great and could be reposted exactly as they were - I'm surprised this hasn't happened. It'd be a great way to drive engagement. The questions could also be augmented with additional...
All right, where was I? Falling in love (or lust) with a statue was described back in Ancient Greece, and that's apart from the Pygmalion myth with its bringing-to-life theme. I guess the modern sex doll industry is the lineal descendant, but let's talk about art!
I'm fascinated by the distinctive development of sculpture -- almost every culture around the world has given us something unique and...
For a while I played CUE (Cards, the Universe, and Everything) but then stopped playing it because the developers are essentially milking the game for money by releasing a new card every single day. It became too cumbersome to keep up.
Plague INC, where you are a disease intent on killing everyone on earth, is one that I've been playing for years, and it was eerie when covid first came around because real...
Ancient Greeks assigned no muse for painting, not regarding it as a serious art, and I'm certain that quite a few 21st century people think of contemporary art the same way! But that's just the beginning of the troubles.
With the Old Masters too often bogged down in thorny questions of genuineness, restorations and provenance -- was that last Leonardo a Leonardo any more, or at all? -- it's not easy to see that the problem is hardly...
What are some good things you've seen on TIkTok? What creator is someone people should look into and follow? I resisted getting it for a while but then right before the school year started I got it and found some funny stuff on there.
There's a teacher named Mr. Lindsey who teaches middle school and defines words that kids are using, which has been helpful in understanding my kids.
There's a guy who owns a business called SB Mowing. He cleans...
Ok, who is willing to out themselves as a fellow weeb? ;) I have been into anime since my youth with my first big love being Rumiko Takahashi's InuYasha . I like to watch quite a variety of different shows, from big epic shows like Code Geass and Attack on Titan to something soft and quiet like After the Rain . As my avatar might give away, I like the Fate franchise quite a bit, at least the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel and the anime...
From the seventh art -- cinema -- back to the sixth! Dance is yet another thing I'm not good at, like at all, but I do love watching other people dance well.
There are so many forms of dance, from classical ballet to 'Hot to Go!' :| I've always been fascinated by modern and contemporary dance, perhaps it's because the old-school ballet, if great to look at (and made to look effortless... one of the greatest tricks ever played upon the...
As questions go, this is perhaps the most basic of the basics, but...
Where exactly do you like to imagine yourself in rape fantasies? As the victim? The perpetrator? Does it vary?
I don't think that options on a poll alone can cover the intricate ins and outs of the subject for some people, but this is a place for talking about it, if you'd like to share.
We talk a lot about various aspects of fiction writing, and are likely to continue doing just that, but for now let's turn our attention to non-fiction.
We all read non-fiction, and I'm not about noticing stop signs on the road! :) We even write it! But I guess some of us are inclined towards texts of that nature linked to their work and hobbies while others read for pure pleasure of learning new things about the world.
So this has nothing to do with any of the normal content around here, but I didn't see a thread for sports talk yet. So, here's one. Feel free to post anything about your favorite team, teams you hate, refs that pissed you off, or whatever is sports related. Hell, feel like brining it back to the main theme of the site by talking about what you'd like to do or see done to some sports person, go ahead.
Wanderlust or plain sunlust -- do the RavishA users like to travel the world? If yes, what are we looking for first and foremost -- traces of history, architectural marvels, natural wonders, sandy beaches or perhaps culinary experiences?
Lately I do most of my travelling with Google Maps, but I have seen a little of this world. Best money I've ever spent by far. For me, nothing compares with the feeling that an obscure event I've read about...
Does anybody else have some favorite implied or fade to black scenes that they love in movies or a TV show? I find it hard to pick one that totally stands out to me, but I'd say some from Law & Order: SVU and some from cable TV movies do inspire me.
Though I still prefer when we get to see the scene itself and don't have to try and guess what or how it happened between victim(s) and rapist(s).
