I guess I’ll just start it when I start it, and we’ll see if at least 50k of it happens to fall into the right month.
There's also 7 days left until October's writing contest ends. You could write down the basic plot for NaNoWriMo in a google doc then laser focus on something different the last few days of October :)

Any and all pre-writing work is okay. You could outline the shit out of it to the point that all that's left is the official "writing" of making it make sense. I've got the basic chapter ideas written down for my story, and some ideas on great lines they'll use. Whatever works best for people.

If I do this challenge, I'll do one chapter at a time, as polished as I can make it, and often as possible. However, since this will eventually go up for sale on Amazon and ZBookStore, I'm not sure it's wise to publish here as I go. But I may do it anyway. I'm stupid as shit sometimes.

Hmm. That… is a very good point.

I appreciate LtBroccoli carrying on with the tradition. NaNoWriMo has officially folded early this year. Mismanagement and misappropriation of funds did them in. ProWritingAid has picked up the mantle with the Novel November 90-day challenge, which implies a finished novel, not a first draft, in 90 days. I've outlined a story, and will try to participate here. But again, I'm not sure how wise it is for me to post raw work before completion and putting the story up for sale. Also, my ghostwork and son come first.

I mean maybe you should add a signature here with a link (and in your story collection thread too) to your amazon/store page maybe so that people can find all your stories, and presenting a full novel of raw work could maybe drive people to go get your stories as it shows off your talent? Still you should do what you think is best :)

As much as I would love for her to do that, our hosting site complicates that by saying this is forbidden content.

@MillieDynamite that's really nice to know about prowritingaid. I think this year I'm just going to do the basic old version of pounding out 50k+ in November, and putting it here will get me more readers than anything I ever tried to get published did, but I'm certainly checking out that site.

It's just to carry on the challenge (and probably some good advertising for their editor plugin), and if I do the challenge here, it's probably all I'll do as well.
