Re: Pharma
It is still a joy to read your latest installment. The pleasure of reading it does however raise a question. You may have already mentioned it but where can I find your stories once Ravishment Academy closes down?

Re: Pharma
Attacking Carly Graspper is about as smart as using a meat grinder as a masturbation aid. First she is going to make mincemeat out of an attacker, and afterwards George will be personally motivated.
That would make them complete morons.
That would make them complete morons.
My collected stories can be found here Shocking, positively shocking

Drew and Carly make new friends...

Chapter 92(nosex,setup)
Drew watched a video on his phone as the flight attendant came around to take his order for dinner. Or breakfast. Well, a light dinner that is almost early enough for breakfast.
International travel sucks for keeping track of mealtime.
“Excuse me sir, we’ll be serving our first meal soon. Would you care for the beef, chicken, salmon, or vegetarian meal?”
“Hmm…. I’ll go with salmon.”
“And to drink with that?”
Drew thought for a moment. “How is the salmon prepared?”
“Pan seared. Would you care for the Chardonnay, or something else?”
“I’m going to do something different. Pinot Noir, Central Otago if you have it.”
“Of course, sir. Excellent choice.” He wasn’t sure if the attendant was just agreeing with him, but she seemed like she was genuinely interested. He turned to watch her continue down the aisle when he caught a glance at Maddy.
She was still staring out the window, her phone laying face down on the tray. She didn’t turn for a while. He could tell she’d cried a bit at some point when he wasn’t paying attention. He returned to his phone before the meal came when a moment later he felt a tap on his shoulder.
It was Maddy.
“Hi. You doing okay?” Drew asked. He wasn’t sure which direction this would go.
“Um, I don’t want to be a bother, but do you have a USB cable and watch charger I could borrow for a little bit? I must’ve grabbed the wrong bag before I boarded and all my chargers are, well, not here.”
“Sure, no problem.” Drew didn’t wear his Apple watch all of the time, but still carried a spare charger. He checked his bag and found a spare USB C cable and watch charger. He handed them to her. “Here ya go.”
“Thank you.” Maddy said before returning to her seat. He watched her get back to her seat a few rows behind him and sit. He couldn’t help but notice that she had a great ass in that dress. He turned his gaze before she could see where he was looking.
A few moments later Drew’s dinner and first glass of wine arrived. The traditional wisdom says that white wine goes best with fish, but there’s something about the combination of pinot noir and a seared salmon that hits the nose and tastebuds in just the right way. He enjoyed his salad and a second then third glass of wine before going to the bathroom and getting ready for bed.
Drew caught a few hours of sleep. When he woke up, he had a piece of paper on his tray with a something written on it.
“If you want to chat, follow and send me a message. @maddy.c on IG and TikTok”.

Tommy stood lost in his phone as he waited in line for the food truck. He organized a food truck day and called up a local joint to bring their Chicago themed food truck called “The L Stop” to the construction site. He visited them once before a few months earlier and fell in love with them. It reminded him of home. Sure, the beef wasn’t as good as Al’s or Johnnie’s, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Between rounds of Candy Crush and paying a couple bills, he messaged Morgana and Murph. Morgana was desperate to see him, and Murph was desperate to see him with Morgana. He wanted to run over to her cube right now, sweep her off her feet, and make love to her right there on her desk. But he had to play the long game. He’d learned at the Club’s Bake Sale a couple days earlier that Drew had hired a private investigator to tail Morgana while he was out of town. Fortunately for Tommy, the investigator Drew hired had the moral code of a politician running for office, and more skeletons in his closet than a Spirit of Halloween. The investigator, Murph, was also a member of the Club and was three steps ahead of Drew, Morgana, and even Tommy. But Murph was thinking with his dick, so the two men struck a deal. Well, three since James was involved due to Murph also following his girlfriend Bianca. Tommy lets Murph catch him and Morgana in a compromising position, and Murph uses that to blackmail Morgana into sex with him. Bianca too, since her ex-husband was a spiteful shit and Murph wanted to suck on her titties for a while.
The idea Tommy had was simple. Meet with Morgana somewhere that Murph could film it, they make out, fuck, or whatever, and Murph sets up a meeting with Morgana to show her how fucked she was unless she fucked him.
Of course the simple plan is never simple. Morgana wants to see him right away. Murph isn’t available today. What about Tuesday? No, Murph is busy then, too. Wednesday? Doesn’t work for Morgana. Thursday finally works even though it sucks for Tommy. Then they have to figure out a plan. Dinner is pretty simple, but they have to make it look spontaneous for Drew’s sake. Of course it can’t be anywhere that has reservations or known lines of sight. Then they have to figure out where to go after if things get a little sexy. Her house is out because of the security system. So is her paying for a hotel. Him for that matter. If Drew went scorched earth, he could subpoena his credit cards and whatnot. Her old place is pretty much empty aside from a final clean out before handing the keys over. They could meet there this weekend under the guise of cleaning up for final inspection, but it won’t work long term. He would have to take her to his place, but he had several other problems on that path, like how he had a small studio that was a glorified closet compared to her place and it looked more like a neckbeard’s goon palace than a place fit for a woman. Thursday would have to take place in his truck if he didn’t get to cleaning fast.
“Giardy. Geordi. Giardiniera? Jardynera?” The voice came from the woman in front of him. Tommy responded before looking up.
“Pronounced jar-di-NAIR-ah. It’s a spicy relish. A little goes a long way.” Tommy said as he looked up. He saw nothing. Then looked down. The young woman turned to face him.
She was short. Like almost midget short compared to him. Maybe five feet tall. Her long, curly brown hair cascaded down her shoulders. She had a petite frame, not much of a figure but had a very cute face with sparkling blue eyes. If it weren’t for the business suit, he’d think she was in high school. Instead, she looked like an intern.
“Thanks. You sound like you know a little about this truck.” She said, smiling a little.
“Had it once before, but I’m originally from Chicago. Guy who owns the truck used to work at all over there, brought the food with him.” He looked at the woman again, trying to place her face. “Haven’t seen you around before. I’m Tommy Gearheadt.” He held his phone in his left hand and stuck his right hand out to shake hers.
“Carly. Carly Graspper.” She shook his hand. As the name clicked, her expression changed slightly like she recognized him.
“Have we met before? I don’t remember seeing you around but there’s something familiar. What department you work in?” She froze for a moment when he said that, but he kept going. “You in IT, Legal, Finance, Research?”
Carly’s look relaxed as he rattled off mundane sounding corporate groups. “Oh, no. I’m not, no I don’t work here.”
“Explains why I haven’t seen you on the job site then. The shoes are a dead giveaway.” He looked down at her toes sticking out from her suit pants. They were sensible looking grey shoes with a small heel that were great for walking but would get her in trouble on the job site.
“That obvious, huh?” She asked.
“Yep.” He looked her over again quickly. She’s wearing heels and still so short. ‘She’d need a stepladder to go down on me,’ he thought. He smiled briefly again. “So what brings you out here?”
“Here, or here?” Carly paused for a second. “A co-worker of mine’s been wanting to try this truck for a bit and he saw they were coming here today. What about you? How long you been in Harbor City?”
“A few years. Went to grad school at HCU, been here since March. I’m a Project Manager with the construction side of things. I work directly with the architect and foremen to make sure the building goes up and stays up. What do you do for work?” Tommy asked. He noticed she shifted just a bit at the mention of work.
“I work for the county. Originally from Humdinger, moved here a few months back. My boss had a great opportunity fall into his lap, and asked me to come with him, so I’ve been here since.” Carly said. The line moved up a bit and they were right behind the person ordering.
“What kind of government job? Anything interesting?”
“Not too interesting. Mostly code enforcement, research, things like that. Pay’s not that great but the benefits are good. Plus, they’re covering my grad school when I go back.”
“Cool, what are you thinking of studying?” Tommy asked. This was the first time he noticed that her jacket was a looser cut, not tight fitting to her body. There was a bulge on her right hip that he didn’t notice before. He reached into his left pocket and pulled his phone out when he felt it vibrate. It was Instagram.
“Not sure yet. Been thinking about computer science for a while, but I wouldn’t mind getting a legal degree either.” Carly gave him another look up and down. She had to admit, he was pretty cute. “I’m not normally this way, but…” she raised her phone up to his and tapped it. A message confirming contact sharing appeared on both of their phones. “Wondered if maybe you wanted to hang out sometime. You know the city better than I do. Show me around sometime.” She smiled that cute yet flirty smile that Tommy had seen a few times before. He clicked accept. They swapped numbers and a few social media handles.
“Deal. As long as you don’t try to put ketchup on your hot dogs.”
“Bet.”
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Maddy slept like shit on the flight. Every time she felt the slightest bump from turbulence or the plane banked, she awoke in a panic. She tried her best to not scream out, fearing she was reliving her weekend from Hell.
It started as a great weekend. She was in Harbor City for a brand deal and to see her dad while he was on a business trip. The stars aligned as Erica and Mia, her besties, were in town and available. They hadn’t seen each other in months but for one weekend, the Three Amigas rode again! Everything started great. They ditched her security for the weekend and partied all night Friday. Saturday was going to be more chill, but a friend of a friend of one of her people was able to get them into Blados for a special event. Blados is the hottest club in Harbor City and where the hot and rich love to play. They were in the bar maybe 15 minutes when they were approached by a couple about joining them in the VIP Lounge. They went upstairs, had a couple drinks and some other drugs, flirted with some celebrities and sports players, and were making plans to go to some afterparties later on.
Then the trouble started. She couldn’t keep her eyes open and Erica was passing out. Mia was sloppy and tried to get away, but she was easily manhandled by some guys there. Everything became a blur and the next thing she knew she was chained up on some weird sex bench, had a ring gag in, and was getting eaten out while another man shoved his dick in her mouth. From what she could see, Erica and Mia were bound on beds and being raped.
Raped. No other words or euphemisms for it. It’s not like the times she was coerced into sex by a smooth talker or woke up in some bloke’s apartment with him fucking her saying she consented earlier. There was no he said-she said like that one time in Bali. No, this was a full-blown gang rape, like out of some fucked up movie from the 70’s where every woman the main character knows gets raped and he goes all Charles Bronson on them. Usually starring Charles Bronson. She was raped dozens of times that night, forced to do things she’d never imagined. She was spanked so bad her ass was bloody when she saw it the next morning. They put nipple clamps and chains on her breasts and played with them like toys. They raped her puss, they raped her mouth, they raped her ass. They made her eat puss, they made her suck dick, they made her cum against her will, they made her taste shit and blood and piss.
Maddy tried to block out as much as she could, but every time she closed her eyes, all she saw was another man in a mask using her. There were some women there. She was pretty sure the couple from the bar were there in masks, and maybe even the bartender and that fat Greek guy who said he was the owner. She heard some of the voices, but couldn’t place most of them. She also knew she was drugged out of her mind, too. If it weren’t for the marks when she woke up in that motel, she could’ve scratched this all up to being a dream.
The motel. Another chapter in her nightmare. The three of them woke up in some shitty motel in a part of Harbor City called Veneto. All three of them were in shitty clothes they didn’t recognize since their dresses were ruined the night before. Erica tried calling the cops but Mia stopped her when she read the note left on the TV stand saying that the room was filled with drugs and our “lives would be ruined if we called the police.” Sure enough, there was a shitload of drugs in the room. Coke, heroin, Special K, Molly, a bunch of pills, and some weed. Not enough to start a drug dealing operation, but enough to get three white girls in a shitload of trouble with the law, especially when one of them was a social worker and another was an immigrant. They argued about what to do and how to proceed. Erica wanted to call her cousin for help, but he couldn’t be trusted since he was a cop. Mia took a couple of the pain relievers she found to make the aches go away. In the end, it was Maddy who made the call. She called Murph first, but he wasn’t answering. Then she called a couple of her other security crew to come pick her and her friends up, no questions asked. An hour later two men rolled up to the motel in a black SUV. After dropping off her friends she returned home, only to find her room a mess.
Her father, Bruce “The Butcher” Sanders, CEO of Pharma International Conglomerate Limited Liability Corporation, had fucked some whore on her bed. And the whore wore her clothes, too. $10,000 says the whore even looked like her. She hated when her dad did this.
Maddy didn’t waste any time. She grabbed one of her to-go travel bags and left. She had Security drive her to the airport. She booked a flight to Melbourne from Harbor City leaving right away. She had just missed the next flight on Delta so she’d take United instead to Los Angeles, then home to Melbourne.
Where she fucked up was not checking which travel bag she grabbed. She’s a professional travel blogger, so she’s going somewhere all the time and has many bags packed. She didn’t grab one for a camping trip or vacation. No, she grabbed one of her emergency party bags. All it had in it was a black dress, heels, a pair of sexy panties, toiletries for a night out, some lotions, and some items that could be charitably described as personal massagers. No phone chargers, no extra cables, nothing. Just a bag for a night of partying and fucking, her purse with a passport and credit cards, and that’s it.
She arrived in Los Angeles around Midnight, having changed into the dress on the inbound flight. She didn’t have time to get any supplies as her plane was late arriving and she had to book it across the terminal to make it to the Qantas flight on time. Of course there was a problem with her seat that she booked, and the flight was delayed further due to the toilet being on the fritz. Everything boiled up and she broke down. She was a few seconds away from being kicked off the flight when that nice man offered to switch seats.
Drew. The first man she’s seen in a while that didn’t look at her like a piece of meat. He helped her out again with some charging cables. She gave him her personal insta and TikTok handles if he wanted to talk. She didn’t know him well enough yet to give him her number, and didn’t want to come off too forward. The last thing on her mind right now was sex. All she wanted right now was a friend.
Maddy thought about what happened over and over, and how she’d move on with life. First thing she’d do was go to the doctor’s when she got home. Who knows what they drugged her with, and even worse what diseases they might have. At least 30 men and women fucked her, and not one of them used a condom. She was confident in her birth control, but would get something for that just in case. She wanted to soak in a cold tub for a week to make the pain go away, but that left her with more questions, like what to do going forward. She knew the cops in Harbor City were shit, and she’d be lucky if anyone believed her. What proof did she have that her and her two besties were gang raped by 30 blokes? Their word, maybe some bruises. That could chalked up to some rough sex. And if she recalled, there were cameras. Those perverts filmed the whole thing. At one point she could see what looked like a projector showing her getting fucked next to a powerpoint of her home address and social media handles.
Maddy sighed. This was the worst rape of her life, and like the others, this would get buried. Buried in a deep hole in her soul, where no one ever goes. She’ll pretend like it never happened, and why shouldn’t she? Who’s going to believe her that this happened? No one. If anything, she’ll get blamed and slut shamed for being there. It happened the one time she tried to speak out when she was younger, and she learned her lesson the hard way.
Society will go out of their way to defend and excuse a rapist if they’re popular, but will destroy the woman who might hurt him. No one ever asks “what about her future” when it comes to reporting rapes.
Her phone buzzed. She was so lost in thought she didn’t notice that Drew was awake and on his phone. A notification from her private Instagram account. “Drew.eats.Melbourne would like to follow her. Accept?” She took a quick look at his profile before accepting. He had a few hundred followers. Most of his pics were of food from various restaurants around Sydney, Melbourne, and the states. His pinned pic was an anniversary post from earlier in the year to his wife, Morgana. She was pretty. The pics were mostly a combination of meals he’s had in special places, his wife, his family, golfing with other lawyers, and interesting locations. All in all, a pretty normal person.
She clicked “Accept”, giving him access to her page. She sat for a few minutes before she sent him a quick message.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
The bald man with the red beard sat behind a parked black F150 in a collapsable camping chair, his suit jacket folded and over the side of the truck. He had a couple napkins stuffed into his shirt collar with a few more laid out on his lap. He moaned in delight as he bit down into a sopping Chicago Beef sandwich.
“You and that sandwich wanna room?” The booming voice came from the very large black man sitting on the lowered tailgate of the truck. Even sitting on the tailgate, his feet still could touch the ground. He said this between bites of his own sandwich on a hoagie roll.
The seated man just sat in ecstasy as he savored another bite of his sandwich. He spoke through between bites and chews. “Getting lunch here might be the best choice you’ve ever made.”
“Maybe the wife, but this is up there.” The black man said, followed by a chuckle.
As they enjoyed their food, another person approached. She was a petite woman dressed in a pantsuit carrying a small box in her hands. It was Carly Graspper. The black man waved her down. Once she was at the truck, the black man handed her a bottle of water.
“Thanks X.” Carly said.
The black man, Xavier Harrison, just nodded.
Carly looked at the truck for a moment. “Didn’t know it was personal vehicle lunch.” She put her box of hot dogs on the tailgate next to Xavier. He finished chewing before he spoke.
“George suggested it. I don’t live too far away, so the maroon mistake is sitting in my driveway.”
“Maroon mistake?”
“It’s the last of the multicolored SUV’s we got. Everything else is either black F150’s or Explorers now. I think George is holding blackmail on the motorpool guys to keep from retiring that car.”
Carly laughed. George was lost in his sandwich for a moment before responding.
“I miss the days when cars were colorful. Green, blue, yellow, even pink and purple weren’t uncommon. Nowadays everything is white, black, or 50 shades of gray. Fuck, I miss the beige cars of the 90’s and 2000’s. At least brown is a color. Also, I’m not sure what that guy is capable of as far as crazy IT tricks. If he’s even our guy.”
“Yeah, well let’s eat first, then talk. This is some good shit.” X said, taking another bite of his Italian sausage sandwich.
The three detectives ate in relative silence for the next few minutes in the parking lot of Pharma HQ. They were close enough to the construction site that no one gave them any heed, though they weren’t the only people wearing suits eating lunch outside today. A few office workers waved at them as they finished up.
“Today’s been one of those small world days.” Carly said. “First, you’re not gonna believe who I ran into in line.”
“Who?” X asked.
“Tommy Gearheardt.” Both George and X’s eyes went wide with surprise.
“Our cabin story Tommy?” George asked.
“Yeah. And… I got his contact info.” Carly smirked. George and X looked at her, then each other and spoke in unison.
“Boobs.”
“What?!” Carly said incredulously.
“Well, maybe not in your case. Need to have boobs first.” X said with a chuckle.
“HEY!” Carly said.
“It’s okay, small ones need lovin’ too.” X said.
“Every guy at some point is a supporter of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee.” George said.
Carly put her left hand on her taser. “I will shoot both you mother fuckers. Say that the old man here had a heart attack and the black guy looked suspicious.”
The three cops laughed.
“No, but seriously, great job. We’d have spent a week trying to find a justification to speak to him, and you flirted with him for 5 minutes and got an in like that.” George snapped his fingers. It didn’t work too well as they were covered in grease and au jus. He licked his fingers and tried again. Again failed. “You get the idea.”
“Yeah. I’m not gonna lie, he’s really cute. If he wasn’t a POI in this crazy shit…”
“You’d bang him.” X said.
“Like a bass drum.” Carly paused to take a sip of water. “That’s not even the craziest thing today. I told you I had a meeting today? Adam had almost every department’s IT head on the call. Well, one of those teams was the IT team for Westview PD. They outsourced their work to Red Briar Security.”
“Wait, you telling us-“
“Yep.” Carly cut off X. “Our friend Steven Wilcox is on the call. He’s the Director of IT for Red Briar’s Harbor City office, and he represented Westview PD. He was one of the only people who knew what they were doing, was prepared, and had a plan. Adam praised it, and pointed out that because it came from them and not cops, the cops on the call would spike it.”
“So Adam knows Steve Wilcox?” X asked.
“At least professionally. I’m looking into the guy on the call with Steve. Jonathan Crenshaw.” Carly said as she scrolled to something on her phone. “Don’t worry gramps, it’s my personal phone, not the work one. According to LinkedIn, he’s a Senior Systems Administrator for Red Briar. He’s worked there for a few years, spent time as an IT tech for several different companies before that including… Pharma where he was a PC tech.” Carly screenshot Jonathan’s page, especially the contact info and previous employers.
“Hmm… What does he look like? Tall and skinny with long hair?” George asked, cleaning up his area as he stood.”
It took Carly a moment to answer. “There’s not many photos of him online aside from his LinkedIn headshot but I’d say yes. Not bad looking, if you like the tall, skinny, long haired guys.”
“Not exactly my cup of tea.” George said, shaking the crumbs out of the collapsable chair. “It’s a shot in the dark, and we don’t have nearly enough to go on for that, but that report from Aly said that the tall skinny guy took extra pleasure beating the shit out of the older woman, right?”
Carly nodded. “It’s not much, but it’s a start. Aside from those two, I have the roster of everyone that was on the meeting, the invite list, and I’m on the mail chains involved. Our suspect is either on that list or works with them. Most of them can probably be eliminated within a day or two.”
“What was the call like?”
“To be honest, one part dense IT talk and three parts whiny boomer bitches. Most of those on the call were more worried about being told what to do than doing their jobs, and I seriously doubt how well some of these places operate. Adam was pretty obvious that he doesn’t like some of these guys and respects maybe half of them. He pointed out a few as being completely incompetent. I’ll check them out first but it wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t as bad off as he states. He has a pretty high opinion of himself on tech stuff.”
“Speaking of Adam, what did you find out?” George asked, moving closer to the trio as he put the chair in the bed of X’s truck.
“On the surface, nothing much to him. He owns a building in Deutschtown on Bismarck Street. Worst part of the neighborhood.”
“I know the place. I’ve had a few calls there over the years.” George said.
“Me too. Had a SWAT raid there a year ago. Area is pretty run down.” X added.
“Adam owns a building there. Used to be an apartment building, converted it to a single occupancy in the mid 00’s. Purchased in the late 90’s for like $10,000. Rehabbed the whole place, owns a computer repair shop and a web hosting company. Which explains the rest.”
“What’s the rest?”
“That place is secured like a prison. Cameras all around, not a single blind spot. I counted at least a dozen. 8 foot tall fences around the back yard, sensors on all the windows, everything. You name it, he has it. Just from what I could see the system would run like 30 grand. Then there’s the air conditioning. At least one of the rooms is running super hot, pulling a lot of power and putting off a ton of heat. That’s gotta be his server room.”
“Anything else about him? I’ve known him for a long time, don’t ever recall him talking about a girlfriend, boyfriend, or anything like that.” George asked.
“Nothing in the public records. Most of his social media is a void. I’ve found a few Facebook posts over the years, but most of it is him either buying or selling network and computer equipment. I looked at his financial disclosure, nothing too out of the ordinary. He’s losing money on his computer repair business and barely breaking even on his web hosting. He only has a few clients, local businesses and blogs. He had to disclose that when he was appointed IT Director for a government agency. It’s small enough that it doesn’t attract any problems. He can’t compete with the big boys in the field, but he doesn’t need to.”
“Can we find anything out about those companies? His clients?”
“Not without digging deeper, and that’s going to need warrants and such. According to the DMV, he only has a 1988 Toyota Camry registered to him, and that’s the only vehicle I’ve seen drive in and out. His office wasn’t filled with collectibles or posters or anything aside from basic work stuff. He mentioned working out at a home gym, but that’s as personal as he’s gotten so far. I think he likes me though.”
“What makes you think that?”
“He asked me to lunch. And it was the way he did it, all awkward and shit. Like how a guy gets all nervous the first time he approaches a girl he likes and hasn’t done it for a while.”
X and George looked at each other than Carly.
“Whoa, I’m not going to lunch with him or date him just to spy on him. He’s too smart and down on himself to think it would work. And paranoid. And boring.” Carly looked like she was going to keep coming up with excuses when the guys interrupted.
“We get it.”
“Anything else come up? All that work and that security system had to have someone come, right? Some permits, anything?”
Carly thought for a moment. “Only construction permits came from the 90’s to the mid 00’s. Most of it was for structural work back then, like rebuilding a garage. Nothing recently, except for the HVAC systems getting worked on, but I think that’s beyond what’s needed for a permit.”
“So he has done a ton of work over the last 20 years, but no building permits. Fuck.” George remarked in frustration. “Only outwardly illegal thing he’s done are some building code violations. And that’s no where near enough to call in a search warrant, even if we had something to go on.”
“Yeah, his security system was originally installed 20 years ago, and that equipment looks new and fresh. Data cables are all over the place since he’s the type of nerd who wants the speed boost from a wired connection and it’s cheaper over time. And he’s likely running everything off of his homebrew server so he doesn’t have to pay cloud fees. If confronted from code enforcement, he’d just say he was upgrading existing equipment and none of it needs a new permit. Plus, getting someone from Codes to look into him is kind of a dick thing to do.” Carly replied.
George and X thought for a moment. X spoke up first.
“What about the stuff from the Hibberton case? Anything useful?”
Carly shook her head. “Remember how I said the computer was hot to the touch? Thing caught on fire before we showed up. There was a weird component I’d never seen before installed in the machine, looks like the fire started there. HCPD wasn’t familiar with it either, but they said it was more like a trip switch for an IED than normal computer equipment. The drives that were attached to the computer were wiped, and the onboard drives destroyed. This was wanton destruction, not an accident. They couldn’t retrieve anything from the external drives they pulled that weren’t attached because those were all infected with the same ransomware and they were overwritten. His handwritten notes are all over the place. Half of it reads like the rantings of a madman, the other half like a boring old economics professor working on a thesis. Some of his older writings were a bit… pornographic but that stopped around 2010 we figure. Worst things we found were his trophies. We’re assuming they’re trophies. Panties, bras, the normal. A couple polaroids but only a couple have a face visible. Even those they’re nearly unrecognizable. We might be able to tie up a couple cold cases, but nothing really sticks out. Lab hasn’t had much luck pulling DNA or prints that weren’t Ray’s. Got one out of like 15 trophies and she’s been in the ground for 5 years. Had some priors for drug possession and DWI’s. They’ll keep trying. The equipment was all purchased from second hand stores or off of Craigslist, eBay, or Marketplace. Nothing tying it directly to Ray or to anyone else we know.”
“So we’re pretty much back to square one.” X said.
Carly nodded.
George stood there for a moment. “I’ve got an idea. I need to check with a friend of mine, see if she’s okay with us coming, but maybe we might get lucky.”
“What’s that?”
“Michelle. She runs group therapy sessions for survivors out of a local community center. There’s a couple she hosts out of, but the rotation is somewhat regular. She hates it when we show up and do cop stuff there, but as long as we stay quiet and don’t turn things into an interrogation, she’s usually okay with it. Bonus points if we bring refreshments. Though a fair warning, whatever happens in there is fair game.”
“How bad?” X asked.
“One time I got slapped pretty hard by a woman when she found out her rapist not only didn’t get charged with anything, but was running for reelection for school board. Things can get pretty heated, these people can get pretty emotional.”
The three nodded. X stood up to help clean up as George felt a buzz come from his phone. It was a text.
“Hmm… That’s interesting.”
“What?” Carly asked.
“It’s from Aly up at Lake Hiawatha. She says she’s coming down this weekend and needs to borrow my tools. She’ll explain later.”

It took Drew a moment to go through his notifications and messages once he woke. He sent Morgana a text, unsure of the time. He was somewhere over the Pacific, nothing but blue below and above. It was at least 10 hours since takeoff, so he figured it was around lunchtime Monday for Morgy. She said she was heading back into the office for most of the week so he didn’t hold his breath waiting for her response.
Drew saw the note on his space and gave it a good look. It was Maddy’s IG and TikTok handles. Maddy.c on both. He glanced over his shoulder towards the blonde to see her lost in thought, staring out the window. He turned back around and loaded up Instagram.
He searched for Maddy.c and found a few profiles, but the direct match was of the blonde woman wearing sunglasses. He thought it suspicious that there were several accounts with similar names but most of them were listed as fan accounts of some unpacking page. Maddy Unpacked. He clicked on the direct match and it was a private profile. Drew paused for a moment before clicking follow. It changed to a message saying waiting for approval. He shrugged.
His main feed was getting worse every day. He missed the days of seeing posts from his actual friends on his main page. Now, everything was a reel either trying to sell him golf clubs, fancy travel aids, or thirst traps. He clicked on one model’s page with an OnlyFans one time, and now Instagram fed him some weird hot chick doing a dumb meme dance as every fifth post. At least it was better than TikTok. He accidentally watched a workout video once from some manosphere twat and now Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate clips are force fed to him.
Just as he navigated back to the main page and got lost in his feed, three notifications came through. The first was that his request to Maddy.c was accepted. The second was she asked to follow him back. The third was a DM. He accepted the follow back and opened her page. It was pretty basic stuff for an Instagram page nowadays. The quote was kind of vague. “You’re here. What more do you want?” The pinned posts showed some pretty travel shots, one of them from Bali. There were several stories about her partying with her friends or hanging out along beaches. No signs of a boyfriend, husband, girlfriend, wife, partner, or whatever the term was this week. He opened the DM.
Maddy:
Drew:
Maddy: Thanks for helping me back there. I was being a real Karen back there. Just a right horrible twat.
Drew: I wouldn’t say that
Maddy:
Maddy: Really?
Drew: aight, you were being a right cunt, but travel does that
Maddy: lol
Maddy: so, Drew.eats.Melbourne but you’re from Sydney?
Drew: yeah. Changed the name after getting to the states.
Maddy: why?
Drew: my first week in the states found out there’s a lot of women named Sydney.
Drew: Including the new intern.
Maddy:
Drew: Drew.eats.sydney sounds more like a reason to talk to HR
Maddy: lol
Maddy: omg
Drew could hear Maddy laughing a few seats behind him.
Drew: you from Melbourne or somewhere else?
Maddy: Melbourne. Just looking forward to getting home. You?
Drew: same to both. So what do you do?
Maddy: bit of a travel blogger. You?
Drew: Lawyer.
Maddy:
Maddy: My barrister
Drew: lol. Solicitor, actually. I specialize in international contracts, work on details. Barristers usually try cases in court. My SIL is a barrister she’s a monster in the courtroom. My company sends me all around the globe
Maddy: who do you work for?
Drew: Senior Legal Advisor with Pharma’s International R&D Division.
Maddy:
Drew: not that exciting. spend most of the time arguing over what’s legal in different countries. You’d be amazed where drugs can and can’t be tested on humans.
Maddy: you live in Harbor City?
Drew: yep. You know about Pharma?
Maddy: a little. Got family that work there.
Drew: Cool. Anyone I might know.
Maddy: maybe. My dad’s name is Bruce Sanders.
Drew stared at the screen for a long moment.
Maddy: yes, my dad is Bruce the Butcher. He’s not as scary as the nickname implies
Drew: I’ve met him a few times. He’s not…
Maddy: he’s still a right twat
Drew: your words, not mine.
Maddy: lol
Drew: Wait, you’re a travel blogger. You travel for a living. How did you end up on a flight across the world with only one purse?
This time it was Maddie, who took a while to compose her message.
Maddy: it’s a long story. I don’t wanna get into all of the details right now. But I had a really bad weekend and needed to leave Harbor City immediately. I grabbed one of my travel bags and booked a flight on the way to the airport. It wasn’t until I got to security that I realized I grabbed the wrong bag. I grabbed my overnight party bag instead of luggage for flying home. Rookie mistake I know.
Drew: yeah I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve grabbed my overnight party bag instead of my luggage. /s
Maddy:
Drew: sorry.
Drew: not every day I meet a professional traveler and I’m better prepared.
Drew: it’s like finding out I shot better than Greg Norman at the Royal Melbourne.
Maddy: you’re not bad at the travel game. You probably have like 34 hacks for jet lag and mapped out the best airport lounges and restaurants from New York to Shanghai
Drew: lol. Not 34, but a few. Also, most of my travel so far has been back and forth from Melbourne to Harbor City. Getting to know LAX real good.
Maddy: how long you in Melbourne this time?
Drew: couple weeks. You?
Maddy: not sure. Probably the same. Want to get my head right before I go back on the road, you know.
Drew: yep
Maddy: I saw Greg play there. He played through us once
Drew:
Maddy: When the Shark asks to play through, you let him play through.
Maddy: you ever golf at the Royal Melbourne?
Drew: lol
Drew: no. Been a dream for a while, but never a reality.
Maddy: I have an idea. I get asked to test out travel hacks all the time but try to avoid them. But thinking maybe there’s something to it. You’re pretty experienced and a lot of my viewers could benefit from that experience.
Maddy: are your clubs here or in the states?
Drew: both. My good club are here, my newer ones are back in Harbor City.
Maddy:
Maddy: how about this… Friday for lunch, you bring a friend and meet me at the club. I pick your brain about traveling and good places to eat, and we get in a round. Deal?
Drew sat for a moment, not believing what he saw. He turned back to Maddy, who caught his gaze and smiled.
Drew: Deal. Probably going to be someone from my office joining me if that’s okay.
Maddy: perfect. My assistant will be there too. She’ll remind me to ask enough questions to have it count as a business lunch. Like Dad always said “the only free lunch is the one that’s a tax write off.”
The two talked for the rest of the flight over Instagram and eventually WhatsApp, covering everything from where they grew up to the best travel pillows based on the seat choice.
Morgana messaged Drew and he FaceTimed her for a couple minutes before saying the network was getting a little spotty. They resumed texting while Drew and Maddy chatted away. He could tell that Morgana was stressed out and did his best to soothe her, but there wasn’t much he could do several thousand kilometers away.
About an hour before he landed, he received a message from Celeste asking what his plans were. He said he wasn’t sure yet but would likely get lunch then head into the office. She sent him a smile emoji then asked him to take his time and stop by the office. Celeste was working on a surprise for him that wouldn’t be ready until the arvo. Also, Aislinn left him a gift in his office. He asked what it was, but all his lover would say was “it’s a surprise.”
Drew wondered what crazy shit his sister-in-law was up to this time. Then his mind wandered to her in her mouth around his cock one more time…

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Thank you for yet another great chapter - and thank you for the notice that you plan to keep on publishing on AO3. I am very glad to hear that the story will go on. Are you continuing to use your nom de plume "Lt. Broccoli" when you get to AO3?
