Sign me up!
My struggle is always keeping a story going. Pumping out something short sweet and delicious is way easier.
I nominate the nickname "Pumpernickel fucker".

I’ll take a shot at it, rise to the challenge if I may
Been in writing-hibernation for too long.
Flash fiction, I can make time for that!
Looking forward to some fun!
2026–woohoo! (terrifying isn’t it?)

Fiction (imagination) is precious: participate instead of lurk, yeah?

@Verbal13 In this case I'll go with MasterDebater. ToGetHer might have people confuse the pen name with a former member of our community who was very prominent. Let's avoid that misunderstanding. Glad to have you on board, @Verbal13! With that, we got 12!
edit: I've got that wrong, 13 it is, not 12. Almost missed that @DayDreamNights signed up too! Very nice @DayDreamNights! Looking forward to your first contest participation too!

First, thank you all very much! Without you, this tournament wouldn't be possible! In total, 13 contestants have signed up, so our first round will put all of you against each other. You will write a flash fiction story (250 to 1,000) words for the theme/prompt Cherry Picking. How you interpret that is completely up to you but I hope to see some of you go crazy. You have now 4 days to write your story until voting begins. Out of the 13 contestants, the 8 highest rated stories will advance to the next round, so 5 will be eliminated. The remaining 8 will then face off in 1 versus 1 matches in the quarterfinal.
All of you should have gotten a PM from me with the login information for your pen name account. Please let me know if the login doesn't work. Of course, don't share with anyone what your pen name account is. You can choose an avatar for your pen name account if you want to. Also, feel free to engage in a little roleplaying with your pen name accounts. Comment in character on your opponent's stories, spice things up with some tongue in cheek trash talking if you want to. You don't have to of course, but it would be nice to see.
You will post your stories in the "Ravished in a Flash - Contestants" board. I will create a topic in there with some more information. There will also be a timer in that board telling you how much time you have left to write. But it might take me a littlte until tomorrow to set all this up, so please be patient with me.
And finally: You will technically be able to rate your tournament stories with your regular accounts. Please don't do that. Rating your own stories is generally not possible and voting for yourself is not allowed in this tournament. If anybody rates their own story, a mod or admin will delete that rating.

@Claire : Thanks for taking the time to set all this up!
On the contest:
Normaly I struggle to padd my stories out as I often feel they are too short.
Tonight I had an idea for a Flash-Story for the contest. I wrote it down in one go.
221 words over the limit.
God fuckin damit

@AdmiralPiet I guarantee you, you're not alone with that. I think in the last flash fiction tournament the vast majority of stories were 900+ words long, some getting really close to 1,000.
