Re: NaNoWriMo Challenge
Thanks. I'm in the "villain is monologuing" phase which certainly helps with the word count. When they go on a megalomaniacal rant, it's best to just let them go.

Re: NaNoWriMo Challenge
Long in-universe rants are a great way to fill in the word count. So are sex scenes, but around here I don't think anyone has an issue with that!
I'm stoked that several of you managed to complete the challenge. I was worried I was the only one, but it's clear I was just the only one willing (or much more likely, shameless) enough to post as I go. I confess I haven't read or written much since I finished because of how exhausting it gets, but I'll certainly fix that when everyone's got stuff up.
Are we even having a voting contest? I don't recall where we left that. I'm good either way, but in the spirit of the original concept, a finish is a win.

I'm fine if we do. Maybe give a couple days to post what we've got to what counts, and the whole month or more for people to read them.SoftGameHunter wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 6:53 am Long in-universe rants are a great way to fill in the word count. I'm going to post a stub of the story in a few minutes, then will follow up later in the day with more.

Re: NaNoWriMo Challenge
Looks like 3 people took up the challenge.
If anyone wants to enter and the story has not been posted either in part or in full, please say if you are going to within the next day or two. Once the poll is created it is not something that can be changed easily.
I’m thinking a 3 week poll to read 3 stories is pretty reasonable. Maybe 4.

I think the original intent was for this to be a challenge, not a contest that people vote on? Pesonally, I don't care if there is a vote, but I'm not sure whether all partcipants interpreted this as a competition?RapeU wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 9:04 pm Looks like 3 people took up the challenge.

My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!

Oh, right, I just reread the first post that specifically mentions it as a challenge. Re: NaNoWriMo Challenge
Like I think I said earlier, a competition is fine by me. So is a non-competition. This one is hard enough just to finish.

Any way we can get a flair made or something for the competitors? Like a 26.2 car magnet, but less obnoxious.SoftGameHunter wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 11:19 pm Like I think I said earlier, a competition is fine by me. So is a non-competition. This one is hard enough just to finish.
