In addition to the regular season pass contests, we have one contest each month, starting on the 15th of each month, that challenges contestants to include three prompts in their stories.
March/April Community Contest
Prompts:Rain
The Clock Is Ticking
On a dark night, the protagonist is all alone, or are they?
Voting Window: April 1 - April 7. The story with the highest rating will win. There will not be a poll.
Rewards
The winner will receive a special title of their choice (unless they are part of the moderation team).
The winner will pick one out of the three prompts for the next community contest.
The top story will be pinned for a week to the public stories forum.
25 reputation points for the winner, 10 for the runner-up.
If you want to enter your story, please post it in the public stories board and reply to this thread with a link to your story. Also, the subject line of your story should reference the contest in the following way:
Title of your story - March/April Contest
You may remove that reference once the contest is over. Also, please include a link to the contest thread before the beginning of your story and tell your readers that the story participates in the contest. You do not have to wait until February to post your story, but the story must be posted before the deadline in order to count. A reminder countdown timer will be announced starting one week before the deadline.
The prompts themselves do not need to be explicit in your story, but the concepts of them do. Example: If one of the words was violin, you could write a character rosining a bow without specifically mentioning the word violin.
Note: The other two prompts in each community contest are suggested and voted on by Pillars of the Community in the section Dean's List, so if you want a say in what stories we get all you need is 50 reputation points!
@Pat Riarchy 'On a dark night, the protagonist is all alone, or are they?' I don't think there's that, but I guess the story could be adjusted to fit that particular requirement.

I think an argument could be made that the prompt fits because the protagonist at the beginning of the story is alone running in the rain until all of a sudden she isn't. The prompt didn't mention when or how long the protagonist had to be alone but not really.
@LaLia I'm out too. I basically sacrificed my creative writing for 2.5 months to give the forum another push with our relaunch efforts. I need to take some time for myself currently and focus on the translation of Späte Genugtuung. I'll never get that done if I keep prioritizing the well-being of the forum over my own writing. But I wish all contestants the best of luck!
My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!
