Forgotten and underrated - The story recommendation thread

Post by Claire »

One of the sad tendencies of our community is that many good stories are forgotten over time. And the Popular Stories and Community Favorites boards are meant to mitigate that issue. And while I ocassionally experience myself that stories I wrote receive a rating or a vote in a poll long after I published them, there seems to be a sort of inhibition to comment on an older story as if pushing an older classic back to the top of the Public Stories board is a bad thing. This thread is meant to counteract this tendency, to point the spotlight on some older stories who might not have gotten their deserved attention because they were published shortly after the launch or at a bad time for some other reason. I will start with three recommendations in the secoond post of this thread, but feel free to recommend a few stories yourself! Here are a few rules:

Rules:
  • Don't recommend stories that are currently on the first page of the Public Stories board (sorted by last post).
  • Don't recommend Popular Stories or Community Favorites.
  • Don't recommend your own stories.
Suggestion:
  • Don't recommend stories of authors who haven't been online in forever. Put the spotlight on people who are still active.
My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!

The Sorceresses Surprise by @Vela Nanashi

The Sorceresses Surprise was the first story published for the most successful contest our community has likely ever seen, the Gang Rape Galore short story contest. With @Vela Nanashi being the author of this story, you know that the crazyness potential is out of this world. If you're looking for a short gang rape fantasy fever dream, then you won't be disappointed. Vela's story might not appeal to your personal kink, but the chances are high that you might step away from the experience thinking to yourself: "I never could have predicted that I would like this."

which echoes my earlier statement that you might be surprised to find out that you enjoyed it. And if the rather subdued tone of Peter's comment doesn't convince you, maybe the feedback from @John_F_Drake, likely one of our most skilled authors on the entire board, is more to your liking:
John_F_Drake wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 1:40 am Oh this story is SO my shit. Thank you for this, I love this kind of magic victimization

Currently, the story sits at a rating of 28, just two points away from the 30 rating milestone. And it would be a shame if this story would just sink deeper and deeper into the depths of the Public Stories board. So reead it and, if you like it, push it above the threshold!

The Chastity Belt by @LaLia

The Chastity Belt is a flash fiction story (that means less than 1000 words long) written for the semi-final of the Ravished in a Flash tournament. For a long time, it was the highest rated story on the forum with a rating of 18, now it sits at 23. It reached that high rating despite it's very low view count of currently only 732 views. And that is particularly sad because it can literally be read in 5 minutes by an average reader.

@LaLia was given the mean task (by me ;) ) to write a story for the theme "Innocence gained", the in my opinion hardest theme of the entire tournament. She won her semi-final match with this story and then went on to win the entire tournament. Give the story a read, we're literally talking about 5 minutes of your time! I'm curious to hear what you think about how she interpreted that challenging theme!

Teamwork by @chloevee

Teamwork is another forgotten Gang Rape Galore story, the runner-up of the contest and my personal favorite of the contest stories that I voted for at the time. It stands out against its competition by treating the word limit of the contest (5,000 words) truly as a limit and not as target as most contestants do. With only 1306 words long, it can be read in less than 10 minutes by the average reader.

The story is told in first person from the victim's perspective. But the twist is that the victim has dissociated from her ordeal so much that her narrative voice has become weirdly detached from the events and sarcastic in her commentary. You might find that either eerie because of the trauma it hides or weirdly funny. Either way, the story definitely delivers a unique experience you won't find in many other stories if in any at all. So take 10 minutes, and give it a read. It was the runner-up for the contest for a reason!

This thread is a great idea! Maybe we could add a sentence or two to each story we want to bring back into the spotlight, explaining why it especially deserves it?

The good Samaritan by @Vile8r

This is definitely my first recommendation.
A wonderful, though unfortunately still unfinished, story.

A guy somewhere in the middle of nowhere and two young women he “helps.” Beautifully written, with a very dark atmosphere and a frightening main character. It’s not just a random sequence of rape scenes, but a story that starts slowly and gradually builds momentum. The way it plays with both women's fears and their wish to resist him is just brilliant — simply great and absolutely worth recommending!

It truly deserves to be lifted over the magical 30-point mark.

So my second post has now three recommendations and with that I'm finished for now. Please feel free to recommend stories yourself and if you read a story because of a recommendation here, let us know!

@JTCK

The story you recommended is currently still on the first page. I would really suggest to recommend something that is already on page 2 or lower. I don't think that a @Vile8r story on page 1 needs an additional shoutout to be noticed.

Blossom Part 1 of 3 by @trio along with the other Blossom stories.
RapeU wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 2:32 am Wow, this story is well crafted with multiple complex layers and ethical implications. Con sex with slaves isn't exactly con sex, even if you both mutually agree to it there's always someone else holding onto the leash around the collar. What made this dynamic more beautiful is that the main character is just as trapped as she is, only financially instead of sexually. Excellent work here.
Trio has, rightfully, gotten extensive criticism for depending on AI to write his stories. However, you can clearly tell that the Blossom trilogy was primarily written by him with minimal AI influence. It's unfortunate that Trio chose to become inactive instead of listening to my advice to write without depending on AI.

You're right, I'm sorry. I didn’t see the story on the first page when I skimmed through it.

Another Story from that same contest: Spoils of War by @AdmiralPiet is a cool scifi story, if you enjoy HFY humanity fuck yeah, stories this one should be fun as it also includes erotica :)

Also from same contest One Morning in Potaissa by @Lucius, who writes history inspired and focused stories, this one set in Roman empire, kind of echoes nicely with the story above :)

And a Consensual story, since I think they deserve love, and they are rather rare, and this one is by @Claire Sweet, Sweet Mess :)

Will try to fish more stories later :) Just felt I should fish some of them :)

I'm just about ready to post the rest of that story!
